Operation Shield the Brave is a non-profit initiative founded by Gladiator Exteriors, a veteran-owned roofing company in Tampa Bay. Its mission is to provide free roofs to veterans in need. A portion of every roof installed goes toward funding a free roof for a deserving veteran.
When a homeowner chooses Gladiator Exteriors for a new roof, a portion of that project is set aside for the Operation Shield the Brave fund. As the fund grows, a veteran in need is selected for a roof at no cost.
Use the nomination form on this page to tell us about the veteran, their service, and why they need a new roof. You can nominate yourself, a family member, a neighbor, or a fellow service member.
The program focuses on U.S. military veterans in the Tampa Bay area who face financial hardship and have a roof in serious need of repair or replacement. Priority is given to disabled veterans, elderly veterans on fixed incomes, and urgent storm or safety situations.
